Meet the Team

Lisa Bowling
Lisa was born and raised in Port Arthur, Texas and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1979. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Lamar University in 1982, married her high school sweetheart, Robert Bowling. While supporting Dr. Bowling's medical career, she embraced her role as a stay-at-home mom to their three wonderful daughters: Brooke, Blaire, and Bailey. She returned to Lamar University to earn her Master of Education in Counseling and in 2007. Today, she proudly manages the business side of Bowling Family Medicine and cherishes spending time with her family and grandchildren, as well as enjoying her favorite sport, pickleball!
Dr. Robert L. Bowling, D.O.
Dr. Robert Bowling is a Board Certified Family Physician with 39 years of experience, proudly serving as a 4th generation physician. A native Texan, he was born and raised in Port Arthur and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1978. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology with high honors from Lamar University in 1981 and went on to become the Valedictorian at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1985. Dr. Bowling has a rich history of practice including 30 years private practice in his hometown community, Port Neches and 9 years in the west San Antonio and Boerne area. Outside of his professional life, Dr. Bowling cherishes family time with his wife, Lisa, whom he married in 1982, and their three daughters. He is also a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren. An avid man, he enjoys hunting, cycling, and hiking, and is actively involved in pickleball, local church and neighborhood bible study group.

Laura Linton

Meet Laura, who has been with Bowling Family Medicine since the beginning. She proudly calls Bowling Family Medicine her “forever work home.” Laura wears many hats: medical assistant, certified phlebotomist, client coordinator, marketer, and on many occasions, an IT specialist. Laura is passionate about the Direct Primary Care model, believing it offers the best care for both patients and physicians. She values quality of care, emphasizing genuine connections with patients and the joy of supporting Dr. Bowling, an exceptional physician and life health coach. Laura is a San Antonio native who spent her youth in the Chicago suburbs. She attended the University of Dayton in Ohio and Lewis University in Illinois, earning a Bachelor of Science in Sports & Fitness Management. Laura moved to San Antonio in 2016, and in 2018 went to work for Hill Country Pain Associates. In 2019, she met her husband Kenny. They share four children: Luke (19), Lilly (17), Hannah (10), and Johnny (8). Hannah and Johnny attend Van Raub Elementary in Fair Oaks, TX.
